Dead Horse Point State Park may not have the recognition of its big national park neighbors, but it certainly has its own breathtaking canyon views! Camping at this park also makes for a great launching point for Arches and Canyonlands. Kayenta Campground, nestled in the shade of juniper trees, offers close access to Dead Horse Point State Park. Within walking distance are the West Rim Trail, East Rim Trail, Visitor Center, Wingate Campground, and beautiful views of the canyon. All 21 campsites include covered picnic tables, fire rings, grills, and a large tent pad. Most RVs should have no issues as driveways are long and electrical hookups are included at each site. There is one ADA-accessible campsite.

Canyonlands National Park in Utah has unbeatable views that should put it on anyone's bucket list. While viewing the canyons from above is beautiful, one should descend into the canyons for the best perspective - and we know just the road to do it! Canyonlands National Park consists of three distinct districts - Island in the Sky, the Mazes, and the Needles. Island in the Sky is one of the easiest areas to reach and experience in the park, with promising views of sheer sandstone cliffs and deep canyon walls. Visitors will find plenty of awe-inspiring stops that don't require much walking to enjoy (though opportunities to stretch legs are certainly available as well)! Near the visitor center, is Shafer Canyon Overlook which allows for views of Shafer Road twisting and turning, descending down to the canyon floor. For those brave enough and with a higher clearance vehicle, they can make this drive. It's not for the faint of heart! Canyonlands also boasts arches for itself. Mesa Arch has one of the most panoramic views one can find in the park - it perfectly frames the far-off landscape as though it were created on purpose. For views that seem to come from another world, Green River Overlook and Grand View Overlook are must-stops - some of our most recommended places in the park.

Located in a small section of Arches National Park is a concentration of stunning arches - the Windows Section. These formations beg to be explored, hiked around, and viewed from every angle. The Windows Section features plenty of arches, spires, red rock formations, and gorgeous views that Arches National Park is known for. The Windows and Turret Arches can be viewed mainly from the parking lot in the front, however, a longer primitive trail can provide views from the back where fewer visitors tend to be found. Double Arch Trail is a 0.6-mile round trip trail - relatively flat with minimal elevation change.

Devil's Garden Campground is tucked away in the back of Arches National Park near the Devil's Garden Trailhead. The location provides excellent access to that area of the park, as well as a touch of seclusion with its own sandstone formations, less-crowded trails, and 24/7 access to the park rather than a necessary timed entry. The campground itself has 51 campsites, two group sites, and one accessible site. Each site has an elevated fire ring and picnic table - perfect for campsite barbeques. The sites do not have tent pads but plenty of space for tent campers, with several sites tucked into the pinyon and juniper trees. The campground has flushing toilets and running water, however no showers. RVs and campers are welcome up to 40 feet in length. There are no dump stations, or electrical, water or sewer hookups.
