I tent camped at this site in October 2023. Overall, it was a very nice stay. This site is close to the restrooms. Elk were bugling all night, which was great. The only negative is that the site did not have a tent pad, and I had difficulty getting some of my stakes to go into the ground. Other than that, the site was fine. Mather Campground is very convenient for a stay at the Grand Canyon.
