The yellow tent in the video clip above is mine, from when I stayed here and filmed the sites. The overall campground at Massacre Rocks is split up into three main sections, and this site is among those in the "lower campground", which are the ones closest to the river. You don't necessarily get direct views of the Snake River from site 33, but it's a short walk down a hill. I loved Massacre Rocks state park. Exploring the history, fishing, and hiking... and I love the campgrounds, especially the upper and lower campgrounds. But that said, site 33 is just good, but not great. It lacks a bit in privacy, as another site sits right up against it on one side, and it does not have shade most of the day. What elevates my rating from a 3 to a 4 is, the setting is amazing, and amenities like showers (included in the price of camping) make it stand out. Plus, if you like to fish, there are great fishing spots along the Snake River a short walk away from site 33. Despite privacy not being the best, my stay was quiet and pleasant and highly enjoyable!
