5 out of 5

In case anyone is following along, and have read my other reviews, once again, see my yellow REI tent above! It's how I prove I spent the night and am qualified to share my thoughts! Or maybe I am just bragging lol! Site 58 is in Bryce View Campground, which is one of three "campgrounds" inside of Kodachrome. The way I would classify this is there are not really three separate campground facilities per se at Kodachrome, but rather the campsites are split within three distinct areas. The actual site numbers run in sequence from site 1 to 63, so it's like one giant campground, in three different sections. But I'll play along with the scheme, because each section is unique in its own way. As for Bryce View, it's named this because way off in the distance, you can see some orange colored mountains, in the Bryce Canyon area. It's probably part of the National Park that you see if I had to guess, but you don't actually see the famous hoodoos from way out here. It's pretty far away, but regardless, a nice view. Site 58 is like almost every site in this section. The driveways are huge, and each site is very well spread out and privacy is about as good as it gets because of that. Great for tent campers and RV'ers alike! Site 58, like most sites, is in a light Juniper-pine region, but that said, it's pretty exposed, but these small trees do provide some shade. The campground was perfectly clean, and this area even has its own restrooms with flushing toilets. There was a shed that sold firewood based on an honor system, which I love when they do that. I decided to give Site 58 a 5 star rating, It's a beautiful area, and the exquisite peace and space contributed to that score. But Kodachrome as a facility is certainly the best I experienced in a long time, because it has got everything. And that right there is what solidified the 5 stars. There are modern and clean showers (included in the cost of camping). There is even a laundry facility here. The visitor center sells ice cream, and other yummy snacks. And what was weird was, when I was there in July, the place was empty. I was the only one in this area of the campground most of my stay. I was quite surprised that a place like this is so underutilized, because July in this area is often not blazing hot, especially not in the evenings. I found it to be perfect camping weather in fact. Oh well, I guess more for me! I mean, the whole situation was absolutely perfect for me. The park itself is unique and amazing. One of Utah's best. I can for sure say "best" when it comes to camping. This place is waaaaay better than most of the big five campgrounds, like those in Zion, and Bryce. It's not even a competition. In fact, the next time I visit Bryce, I will probably opt to drive the extra miles to stay in Kodachrome instead and commute to Bryce. It's not that far away. I will add, the other two "campgrounds" are both fantastic in the same way. I imagine as you watch our drive thru and see the other sections, you'll note how the same things I liked about the Bryce View campground are the same in the other two sections. I struggle to find any faults with this place. Truly. The views. The colorful terrain. Strange rock features. The endless amount of cool things to do in this area. I could happily live in Site 58 if I had to. Based on my criteria in this review, I can say that just about every site in Bryce View is a 5 star for me, so just pick whatever you like, and you likely will not be disappointed. If you follow me or saw my other reviews, you'd know most are not 5 stars, so I don't take it lightly. Campgrounds gotta earn it, and this one did.
