Site 12

I think this the best site at Goblin Valley. You are tucked back into a small slot canyon that closes in your site on 3 sides. The site was big enough for 2 tents. One 6 man tent on the pad and one 2 man off the pad. At night being tucked in blocks any light so you get the night sky in all its glory. However, there are a few negative things to be aware of. It's obvious that the site floods when it rains so that is something to be aware of. In the afternoon there is no shade in the ramada. But we hung a tarp and it worked perfectly. The site is a walkup type site and the signage is at the parking lot . Make sure you have sturdy stakes for your tent because it can be hard to drive them in because the ground is hard. When you need the bathroom it's on the other side of the campground. So your options are a long walk or a drive to the bathrooms. Every time I have been to Goblin the bathrooms and showers are immaculate. There is no cell signal except at the campground office. If you go in summer and it gets too hot you can always take a day trip to Swazyes Beach on the Green River to cool off. But overall site 12 is the best site just in its location alone.
