Anyone recognize my yellow REI tent above? Like in many other videos, that'd be me-- during my overnight stay here in late July of 2025. I'll cut to the chase. Beautiful campground-- clean, and a beautiful setting. Site 9 is right on the bank of a small creek that flows by the townsite, and you can fish here with a Montana State Fishing license. Site 9 is one of the better ones, but normally, a site like 9 would get a 2 or 3 star review from me, because privacy in this campground is quite lacking on the average. Sites are extremely close to each other, and while you have big trees that provide good shade at times of the day, there is nothing to break up sight lines , and camping this close to strangers can be awkward. The best part is the old historic town site, which is a short walk away. In the summer, the sun sets around 9PM up here, which is when the town closes. Camping gives you opportunities to explore the town all by yourself late in the day, and if you're lucky like I was, you may have it all to yourself. Put it all together, and I give site 9 four stars, despite the privacy concerns. All else more than made up for that.
